The Argyll Ludging - 32 Bar strathspey

1-8 1C & 2C, joining nearer hands on the side set to partners; dance four hands round to the left once. 1M & 2M and 1L & 2L, turn once round with both hands to finish in the middle of the dance back to back with partner facing out. 3C step up on bars 7-8 to positions in the side line between first and second places
9-16 1M, 2M, 3M dance left hands across, 1L, 2L, 3L dance right hands across. On meeting partners, 1C followed by 2C and 3C join hands in promenade hold and dance up to the top. 1C cast off on the men's side and turn with left hand to finish with 1M in second place and 1L in third place. 2C cast off on the women's side and turn right hand to finish with 2L in second place and 2M in third place. 3C dance up to the top and turn right hand to finish in the middle of the dance facing down with 3L on her partner's right

Iona Cross (6 Couples) - Medley, 96S and 96R

This medley is danced in a 6 couple square set with 5C facing 1C and 6C facing 3C
1-8 1C, 5C, 6C, 3C dance parallel reels of four up and down the set
9-16 Facing couples dance back-to-back while side couples (2C & 4C ) join hands and advance and retire. Facing couples dance half rights and lefts to change places - 1C, 3C face out the sides ready for...
17-24 Couples who are now facing dance parallel reels of four across the dance
25-28 The four dancers in the middle dance a RH wheel with the two nearest dancers on the outside
29-32 The two couples in the middle dance LH across once round while the outside couples circle 8 hands 3/4 of the way round to the left (this circle is quick and is often replaced socially by a 3/4 CW chase) 3 times strathspey and 3 times in reel time

opposite direction.
25-32 1C, 3C, 5C turn 3/4 RH to finish in the middle
facing up. 1C followed by 3C, 5C lead to the top and cast
off - 1C to 6th place, 3C to 4th place and 5C to 2nd

Alison Rose - 32 Bar strathspey

Circle to the left for 2 steps to finish men at the top,

Interchanging wheels with partners to finish with the

1-8 "Rights and Lefts with a twist": 1st and 2nd couples
dance half rights and lefts in four bars. On bars 5-6, they
turn partners once all the way round with right hands, and
then on bars 7-8, they change places with left hands on the
sides to finish on opposite sides.
9-16 First couple dance a half figure eight around 2nd
couple, beginning by crossing down. They dance through
their original positions to join in reverse promenade hold.
Giving collective left shoulder to 2nd man (who is in his
partner's place), they dance a half reel of three across
the dance with 2nd couple. Second couple finish in original
places and 1st couple finish at the top ready to
17-24 Dance down the middle and up.
25-32 First and 2nd couples poussette.
Easter Thursday - Longways duple minor (triple time) English Dance

Turn neighbor, then partner.
B All balance back, forward, right and left, and then

into second place on partner's side, set, and turn with

corner, her partner behind her.
9-16 First man follows his partner as she dances a right
shoulder reel of three diagonally with first corners,
finishing facing her second corner.
17-24 Repeat with second corners, but on the last two
steps of the reel first woman pulls her left shoulder back
to face first man and turn with left hands to face first
corners.
25-28 First couple turn first corners with right hands,
then pass by the right to face 2nd corners. (Corners dance
four steps.)
29-32 First couple turn 2nd corners with right hands,
then pass by the right to own sides.
Airdrie Lassies - 48 Bar Jig - Set Dance - Book 26, No. 1
